Love, Loss and What We Ate

51zv8r0vrll-_sx343_bo1204203200_From watching her host Top Chef and conduct interviews all these years to following her on Instagram, I adore Padma Lakshmi. However, I fell in love with her today during her interview with PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly editorial director Jess Cagle as she discussed surprisingly becoming pregnant in 2009 and not knowing who the father of her child was.

“My life has been very intense and very tumultuous, but it’s been mine. And that’s okay, it’s made me who I am. And I’m not sorry.” – Padma Lakshmi

She was heart-warmingly candid, brave and simply unapologetic for her experiences. It makes me proud of all mine right along with her.

Now excuse me while I go order “Love, Loss, and What We Ate: A Memoir” for my flight this weekend.
