Sometimes people will try to tell us who you are, what we shouldn’t be or praise our best qualities, but tell us to reign them in some way. We become more meek and insecure because we now doubt ourselves.
Today I met Robin Roberts and she touched my face and she hugged me and Michael Strahan took a picture of us. As I rode the subway to work, this intense feeling of joy and pride waved over me, because I could not have imagined this moment or the opportunities I’ve been blessed with up until this point. The tribe of people I have been fortunate enough to surround myself with each day, or even in one moment, has made all the difference in my life.
The struggles, the insecurities and the uncertainty we feel in life slowly fade away when first we ask ourselves — what is your hope, dream, prayer?And then we speak it out loud.
We dare to speak out loud.
